Comet at Night near Aconcagua

Brady – Mountain Hardwear, Chile

Last weekend I headed up to the base-camp of Aconcagua to check out the marketing project we are doing in collaboration with a local guiding agency, it is a pretty impressive representation of MHW as we have 100 tents on the mountain and 2 Space Stations. As I rolled up to 5,000 meters the weather turned for the worse with the usual late afternoon winds followed by a massive snow dump. About 10:00 pm nature-called and I climbed out of a Trango 2 to take in this view: clear skies, fresh snow fall, outline of the Cordillera de Los Andes and a nice "COMET" streaking across the backdrop. Not to mention the fact that the Space-Station looked pretty surreal as well.
