Outdoor Diva Anne Ralston
Anne is nominated because she is the epitome of the title. She is a fulltime A student at JMU; a junior on the way to a PhD in physical therapy. Works two-jobs (plus) to support her self, volunteers to teach little girls how to play lacrosse every summer, runs cross-country on a school club team and never fails to get in an 8+ mile run every day -- rain or shine. She almost always wins her age group in half-marathons. And that's even before hitting the mountains. Anne has scrambled, climbed, kayaked, run and camped in some of the most beautiful mountains with me on earth.
Anne is one of the most passionate outdoor people I know and she doesn't even realize that she inspires and spreads her passion of sports and the outdoors upon others everyday.
When she finally meets that perfect 'Southern Boy' and starts a family every one of her kids will have shoes full of mud and leaves just like she did. She is my daughter and my 'Mountain Hardwear Diva.'

Just think, she is only getting started. If she is reaching these goals already, we are sure to see her plant her "Diva" flag on Everest! Go Anne!

Truly a Diva! Glad she can find time to do all of these activities, be competitive and still give the other important things in life (i.e. family) the time they deserve.

Anne is a REAL outdoor diva. She evens runs when its sleeting!! She most enjoys running just for fun, but also competes on the club cross country team at JMU. She also loves hiking, kyaking, swimming, playing lacrosse, and shooting trap.
