Outdoor Diva Melissa Potter
Not only does she climb 5.9s like a champ, she can hike for miles without one complaint. She's got grit and determination out on the trail. She can hang with any man. I learned how tough she was when one day we did a 21 mile day hike of the Otter Creek Wilderness in West Virginia. We hiked fast. We went at a 4 mile per hour clip the whole time and she didn't complain one bit. She's tough. She recently went to a Sterling ropes weekend called Goddess on the Rock. If she became a Diva it would only be fitting. Choose her. She's the chick you're lookin' for.

Melissa is not just an outdoor junkie she spends her week days teaching children how to play the violin. She is a strings teacher for her local community. She definately deservers to be chosen. She recently took on a Mountaineering school in addition to all of her weekend outings. She juggles it all. Job, relationships and play and she does it extraordinarily well. It would be nothing short of glorious for her to win.

Melissa is everything you are looking for in a Diva. She works hard and plays hard. When she has free time, she goes through training exercises to better her outdoor skills. Just this past summer she went on a wilderness fauna and flora tour that included flipping rocks to find indigenous snake species in the context of camping and long hikes in remote wilderness.
She climbs with true grit, and she knows how to lead others in outdoor excursions. She has worked in wilderness schools, and even has experience in international missions.
A school teacher by trade, she is constantly learning and improving her skills in every area of life. But she doesn't hoard what she learns--she pours it out for the sake of others and their growth.
Melissa is truly a gem, a diamond if you will. Precious, exquisitely and intrinsicly beautiful, radiant, sharp, unbreakable, and yet delicate as well, melissa can appreciate and enjoy a sit start difficult boulder problem, or a night of orchestra.
She's a truly wonderful human being, and a treasure to know. I think she meets all of the criteria for the diva and conquer. It's an honor to know her, but an even greater privilege to play a role in nominating her for this highly prestigious approprobation.
